street shrine

While driving around East Oakland I found this street shrine placed in a median strip designed to divert traffic.  Whoever created it included icons from India and China as well as incense and continuous music.  It was like a small oasis in the middle of the street.

  7. That is almost as weird as the statue of Lenin in the Fremont neighborhood of Seattle. Refreshingly weird.
